American sets record by reaching 502 km / h with 1299cc bike

Bill Warner broke the world record with a flow rate of approximately Suzuki Hayabusa 1000cv power

Bill Warner became the first "biker" in the world to overcome the 500 km / h. Marine biologist reached 502 km / h top speed on the track of Loring Air Force Base, Maine, United States, lying just "ground" the old record of 448.4 km / h, also won by the North U.S. last October.

To achieve the "feat" Bill Warner used a Suzuki Hayabusa, highly modified, methanol-fueled, and equipped with a 1299cc turbo engine, delivering around 1000 horse power: "A bike built for speed, and that's it does, "said Bill when asked about this marvel of precision engineering.

At the end of "folly", Bill Warner blurted: "It was not the acceleration that scared me, however, responded to the bike smoothly. The worst was able to stop it in just one mile, which was the space that had until the end of the runway. The bike was shaking, shaking, jumping and sliding, but as you can see, I managed to stop it safely. "

By comparison, the version "stock" of the Suzuki Hayabusa develops "only" 194 horsepower and can reach 305 km / h taking 2.7 seconds to reach 100 km / h.
